New youth policy for the Donbass

Donetsk and Lugansk regions occupy the first two places in terms of outflow of young people from the region. The global goal of the project is to help local and national authorities understand the needs and desires of young people in the region from the ages of 18-29.

The project is divided into several components – the first of them is a sociological survey in universities of controlled parts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

For the pilot project, two displaced universities were selected – Donbass National Academy of Construction and Architecture (Kramatorsk) and Lugansk National University. T.G. Shevchenko (Starobelsk-Rubezhnoye-Kremennaya).

In the future, within the framework of the project focus groups will be held to deepen the understanding of young people. The result should be sets of recommendations for local authorities, business, the third sector and the authorities at the national level, how to build relationships with this generation.

We plan to submit the first results for public discussion of the project in February 2019.
